Healthy Working Life – Research and Mystery Shopping

Healthwatch Kirklees carried out research and mystery shopping to better understand how easy it is for people to find and access support to stay in work, return to work or manage a health condition while working.

The project explored the information, advice and services available to people seeking employment-related health support. Through desk research and mystery shopping exercises, we reviewed how accessible services were, how easy information was to find and whether people could quickly identify the support most relevant to their circumstances.

Our findings highlighted a range of support services available across Kirklees, alongside opportunities to improve awareness, navigation and access to information. The work identified challenges people may face when trying to understand which services are available and where to go for help.

This report brings together the findings from the research and mystery shopping activity and provides recommendations to help create a more accessible and joined-up experience for people seeking employment and health-related support.
