Calderdale, Kirklees, and Wakefield Maternity and Neonatal Voices

The Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) brings together parents, families, maternity professionals, neonatal teams and community organisations to help improve local maternity and neonatal services.

We work with people who are pregnant, have recently given birth, have experienced neonatal care or have used maternity services within the last few years. By listening to people’s experiences, we help ensure that maternity and neonatal services are shaped by the voices of the families who use them.

Have your say

Whether your experience was positive, negative or somewhere in between, we want to hear from you.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience of:

  • Pregnancy care
  • Antenatal services
  • Labour and birth
  • Postnatal care
  • Neonatal services
  • Infant feeding support
  • Maternity mental health services
  • Specialist maternity services
  • Health visiting and early support services

Every experience helps us better understand what matters to local families.

What is an MNVP?

A Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership is an NHS-supported partnership that brings together families and professionals to improve maternity and neonatal care.

The role of the MNVP is to:

  • Listen to the experiences of women, birthing people and families
  • Gather feedback from diverse communities
  • Identify what is working well
  • Highlight areas where improvements are needed
  • Influence service design and decision-making
  • Ensure services are centred around the needs of local families

We believe that people with lived experience are experts in the care they receive.
